SIP Scholars awards a scholarship in the amount of $500.00 to one (1) graduating female high school senior who is a member of a socioeconomic, educationally disadvantaged or an ethnic group that is traditionally underrepresented with plans to attend a 4-year historically black college or university as a full-time student. (Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis for individuals attending a non-HBCU college or university).
Listed on the below application form, you will find further details about the criteria for the scholarship, how to apply, and a questionnaire that must be completed to qualify. All questions and required documents must be completed for your application to be considered.
The application deadline is April 30, 2024 - 11:59 PM EST.
The winner of the 2024 SIP Scholarship will be notified by June 1, 2024. Once a winner is selected, the recipient will be notified of the date, time and location of the special scholarship ceremony celebration. The recipient MUST be present to receive their scholarship award.

Isata Jawara
Attending Townson University majoring in Political Science & minoring in English on a Pre-law track. Isata has always dreamed of becoming a criminal defense attorney.
Isata enjoys watching movies and old films, active in sports, and the world of cyber security & crime is an interest she plans to pursue on the side.
Kyah Williams
Attending Tennessee State University with a major in Sociology. Kyah choose this major because of her Father. While being his caregiver during Hospice, she realized how poorly patients were mistreated. This is an issue she wants to be apart of correcting in the future.
Kyah enjoys watching Greys Anatomy and being creative with nail art. She currently has a small business as a nail tech and hopes to continue this throughout college.
